Émilie

My story, “Émilie”, begins with the vivid image of a woman’s hands that I pictured while listening to a friend caring for her mother living with dementia.
Wrinkly hands, folded together, unrecognizable to a mind lost in memories. Clasped hands that betray emotion and vulnerability when words have vanished from the brain.
